Ingredients
Wellness Tonic
- 4 cups filtered water
- 1 large lemon sliced
- 2- inch piece fresh ginger root sliced
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or more to taste
- 2 whole star anise pods
- 4 whole cloves
- 6 fresh mint leaves optional
Optional Additions
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Pinch turmeric
- Fresh lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Add water, ginger, lemon slices, star anise, and cloves to a small saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
